With Loctite Liofol CS 7106 RE, Henkel is bridging a technological gap: It is the first Cold Seal solution specifically designed for barrier-coated paper packaging. Development for such solutions is driven by the growing trend towards paperization as paper-based packaging solutions are gradually gaining traction as an alternative to plastic ones. Strict regulatory requirements on packaging recyclability, such as the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation ‏(PPWR), and increased customer interest in sustainable packaging alternatives are the main factors contributing to this switch. According to a recent GlobalData industry report, more than 70% of global consumers consider recyclable packaging essential or desirable.

From May 7 to 13, Henkel Adhesive Technologies will showcase its comprehensive portfolio of adhesives and coatings for sustainable packaging design at this year’s Interpack, booth D45 in hall 10. The focus lies on solutions that meet demanding performance requirements while helping reduce CO₂ emissions, improve recyclability, and ensure compliance with the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation ‏(PPWR).

Henkel has further improved its performance in two internationally recognized sustainability assessments. In the latest evaluations by CDP and EcoVadis, the company once again made progress and strengthened its position among leading sustainably operating companies.
